The Noitada de Portimão is a free summer festival of light, art, and culture that transforms the city’s
historic center into a vibrant open-air museum. With video mapping, laser and water shows, live music,
fado performances, silent discos, and immersive art installations, the event attracts over 250,000 visitors, celebrating creativity, innovation, and community spirit in the heart of the Algarve.

Noitada’s objectives were to boost the local economy and position Portimão as a cultural hub. The festival fostered community ties, promoted sustainability, and offered immersive artistic experiences that combined light, music, and interactivity for a wide audience.
